I am freelance writer and editor, Karen Yakymishen. I am nestled in the artsy town of Nelson, British Columbia.

Before I freelanced as a writer, I was a clothing designer. I still design for myself and maintain my obsession with the latest trends, but I no longer work 18 hour days, 7 days a week. No, now I work 12 hour days, 6 days a week. So much better.

I write, edit and chase contracts from my kitchen table, close to my garden and the gorgeous mountain view.
